| The Criminal Investigations Division of the department or C.I.D. is responsible for all follow-up investigations and also handles the more time consuming or in depth cases. Comprised of one lieutenant, one sergeant and two detectives the CID officers will often take over cases after the initial investigation was handled through the Patrol Division. Responsible for all aspects of investigations, CID officers are thoroughly trained in crime scene investigations, photography, latent print dusting and other various aspects of criminal investigations.
