As are more and more Police Departments in the country, the Nags Head Police Division is very focused on the concept of "Community Policing". This basis of the concept is having Officers get out and interact with the community, which in turn hopes to form a bond with those the Officers are serving. This bond then enhances communication between the police and the community making it easier to police the community and more difficult for crimes to be committed without being noticed or reported.
