The Nags Head Police Division utilizes Ford
Police Interceptor's for marked patrol cars. All patrol cars are equipped
with emergency signaling devices, laptop computers connected to DMV
and a statewide network and a MPH moving/stationary radar. At
least two patrol cars per shift also carry a "stinger" (stop
sticks), a portable defibulator, a cellular phone, a Poloroid camera
and other investigative materials. By the end of the year 2001
five patrol cars will be equipped with an in-car camera system and a
dual directional radar.
